Federal changes to Medicaid Expansion will introduce new community engagement requirements for many recipients beginning in 2027. These changes may increase demand for volunteer opportunities across South Dakota. Hear directly from the South Dakota Department of Social Services about who is affected, what activities may qualify, how participation may be documented, and what volunteer-involving organizations should do now to prepare.
